I have recently invited Tom Vilsack and Bill Richardson to read and respond to posts here at Solving America's Problems. Both are persuing the Democratic nomination for President in 2008, and both have a lot of good ideas. Post questions and concerns here and we will do our best to set up an interview or guest post in response.
Remember folks, be tactful, but don't be afraid to post REAL questions and concerns...

What do these guys think about the job situation in America?
What does Mr. Vilsack have to say about foreign oil? Mr. Richardson?
1. I believe the problem with government today is that most of our elected representatives are professional politicians. By that I mean they are out of touch with the working class and have no understanding of our needs.
2. We in the border states especially are very concerned about security. We need a fence and the money and manpower to maintain it. Our borders must not remain open to every drug cartel and terrorist organization in the world.
3. Immigrants are not the problem--our nation was built on the energy and diversity of immigrants--but the influx must be controlled. Foreigners who wish to become American citizens should do so by legal means. Illegal immigrants who are guilty of identity theft or other crimes must be deported at once. Only American citizens should be eligible for government assistance. Adults able to work should have a time limit on welfare benefits.
4. Social Security is for citizens ONLY.
5. Education is not improved by raising taxes and pouring more money into the existing system. Bigger is not better. Metal detectors and condoms do not contribute to education. Raise the pay of teachers, and allow parents to choose the best school for their own children.
6. Iraq: Win the war, then get out.
My question--do you agree or disagree?
I want to know about the firefight at the border that is being kept so damn quiet. So tell me, what do you think really went on there? I would say it was a test to see if we really had the guts for a fight and it just proved that we did not. Thanks for putting the handcuffs on!! I understand that you may not want a bunch of loose cannons running around the border with automatic weapons but you had better start thinking about what you need to do. This was a test and we failed. BUT. Lets make sure to give them boys a medal or two to a) make sure they keep quiet about what really went on. and b) to make all the other boys down there know what they need to do to protect the political bullshit that comes along with protecting our border.
Neither Mr. Richardson or Mr. Vilsack have the balls to appear here after the now-famous blog incident at the Edwards place. Go figure-another bunch of chickenshits running for president. If Teddy Roosevelt were alive today he would kick the crap out of the lot of them...
