My, how timeless and universal are the truths about the evil of governments and the predictability of men in places of power.
That our current batch of oath-of-office-defying politicians have what they view as the perfect boogeyman in the form of global terrorism doesn't alter the simple truth that government invariably degenerates into despotism. It is for this reason that Mr. Jefferson said that "..the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
When it came time for him to sign the Declaration of Independence, John Hancock wrote his signature large, so that the King would have no trouble reading his name. Why are all the comments here invariably "anonymous"?

i say get rid of all the parties, no more democrats, no more republicans, and just vote solely on the fact that a canidate isn't a huge dipsh**. and then nominate you for king of America.
